Sneak Peak….

Here’s a sneak peak of the new car for this season. Come on out to Boyd and Stephenville to see this beauty in action. As always you can catch Cody Shoemaker behind the wheel!

So who the hell is he?

Cody (Bubba) is eighteen years old and a senior in high school. He is about to begin his third season of racing and will be debuting the new blue and white #54 Sport Mod. Cody recently finished 10th in points at Boyd Raceway, 4th at 281 Speedway, and 20th in the South West Racing Specialties Nation Points. This year Cody will concentrate on the Boyd Raceway track, 281 Speedway in Stephenville, and make an occasional race at Kennedale Speedway Park. Racing is a passion of his and a family trait. His dad, Jerry Shoemaker, owner of JBS Motorsports, raced dirt track in the early 90's at what is formerly known as Cowtown Speedway. Cody's Grandpa Shoemaker raced dirt track too, so this is a third generation, dirt track racing family. John Shoemaker raced in Jacksonville, Il and Godfrey, MO. He was track champ for 2 years in a row in the 70's and even though he has since passed, he continues to be a driving force in Cody's life. The number of Cody's car, 54, was also the number of his Grandpa Shoemaker's car and was the year Grandpa and Grandma Shoemaker were married. The Shoemaker Family is a close racing family who all seem to thrive on speed and tradition!
